Dry docking of the ferry including mechanical and deck repairs

Ferry „ŽALGIRIS“ was ready for the summer to carry citizens and guests of Klaipėda in shortest time possible. AB Smiltynes perkela ferry is in route for carrying vehicles and passengers to beautiful Smiltynė and Curonian Spit region all year round.
Our ship maintenance & repair division has successfully completed dry-docking of the ferry including mechanical and deck repairs. The repair works were accomplished in an extremely short and very tight schedule. Instead of planned 14 dry docking days, our team managed to complete the project in 11 days.
The repair scope was not limited to just coating and included:
- full dismantling of main ramps, repair of bends and replacement of pins and bushes;
- full dismantling of two rudder propellers ZF (HPR) 4000 and full overhaul at our workshop;
- overhaul of valves and other mechanical equipment;
- coating and painting an artistic image of lively rowers on the sides as seen on the images.
Whatever the deadline for the project, we control the quality and strive to ensure the most convenient service to the customer.
